Selling Help
Mar 7th
After several failed marketing attempts I decided to look on the internet for free sales tips. I had tried many different advertising approaches to increase the sales of my small business. These methods proved to be expensive and had little impact upon my sales. I was very disappointed with the local marketing options that I had so I decided to turn to the World Wide Web for some additional help.
After I opened my small business I tried a number of different advertising and promotional options out to see what could successfully increase my sales. I had professional signs made advertising my business. I was not aware that there were local ordinances prohibiting signs from many areas. The signs proved to be a costly lesson for my business.
Next I took out an advertisement in a local paper. I even included a coupon for a certain percentage off of my services so that I could keep track of how many new clients I was actually attracting with the ad. This was another huge disappointment. Within the time span of a month I only had five new customers come in with the ad. Their sales did not even cover the cost of the advertisement in the newspaper.
Then I tried a mass mailer by advertising in a coupon packet that was distributed throughout my entire community. This was the most affordable option that I tried but I was a little leery about the number of people who would actually open the coupon mailer and look through them all. I had good reason for my concern. There was only one person that called my business and said that they saw my ad in the coupon mailer.
While I was scouring the internet for free sales tips a thought occurred to me. I had never thought of using the internet as an advertising tool. In fact, my company didn’t even have a web-site. I decided that it was time to step into the 21st Century and hire someone to create a web-site that would draw in more customers.
According to the internet, free sales tips always encourage you to maximize your exposure. I had not even thought of the number of people who rely upon the internet to locate businesses. Once my new web-site was up and running, I made sure that I was included in all of the business directories that I could find. My sales increased by at least ten percent in the first month.
Upgrade Your Compaq
Mar 6th
Before junking your old computer and purchasing a new one, you can save yourself quite a bit of money by deciding to look into upgrades instead of just buying new. There are a number of components on your computer that you can upgrade that will improve its performance. There are also options available for personalizing your computer’s settings. A skilled computer technician can offer you guidance on upgrading options and inform you on BIOS options, which can alter the settings on your computer and assist you in customizing them.
There are a number of computer upgrades available that will increase the performance of your computer. I owned a Compaq computer that was several years old. First, I looked into finding out if there was a Compaq upgrade that I could purchase to increase my storage capabilities. I found that I could purchase and install an external hard drive that could provide me with more storage space. The next Compaq upgrade that I needed would be one for memory. I found several memory upgrade options for my computer on-line and they were a lot cheaper than I thought that they would be. The final Compaq upgrade that I was looking for was a processor so that my games and other applications could run faster. I had to have this upgrade done by a professional, but it was well worth the cost.
I asked the computer technician if it were possible to alter my Compaq BIOS and to change some of the settings originally installed on the computer. He informed me that it is difficult to alter a Compaq BIOS and that only trained technicians have the resources available to perform this operation since they are permanently burned into your computer’s ROM chip. He also went over some Compaq BIOS beep codes and outlined what they meant incase my computer performed any of these beeps when I was starting it up.
I was very happy that I decided to take advantage of these upgrades instead of spending a ton of money on a new computer. The upgrades were relatively cheap and I learned a lot about my computer and its applications in the process. I would recommend looking into upgrading options for your existing computer before purchasing new. But don’t wait until your computer stops functioning before looking into upgrading. If your computer’s performance begins to decline, ask a technician for advice on improving its operation.
