Online guitar lessons, the future of music lessons…
Sep 16th
The future of learning how to play the guitar may be now. With all the claims about which methods of learning to play the guitar is the best method, I decided to check it out myself.
Lets set the agenda straight, online music lessons have come a long way in the last couple of years. When I took my first guitar lesson in 1964, my mom or dad drove me to the teacher, he taught me for 50 minutes each week, and then my mom or dad would pick me up.
I liked my lessons, the personal touch, being able to go over a piece of music until I understood it. Having a human being to talk to, and he always had a recital every month so we could show what we learned. Mr Yeatman and I did Classical guitar duets together.
With the advent of video and then the internet, it was only a matter of time before guitar lessons started to evolve into more interactive ways of teaching.
For many years we would see claims that you can learn to play the guitar in 2 weeks and a lot of other bogus and impossible claims. These claims did not do the online music lesson industry any favors. However now a days there are some terrific online guitar lessons available. The teachers are music school graduates and sometimes famous musicians. The point is that they are interactive and quite effective.
It really blows my mind at how far online guitar lessons and online music lessons have improved, using all sorts of Internet tools. Don’t take my word for it, try clicking the link above and see what I mean. If that does not excite you, than there is always another choice to try. Don’t get frustrated, enjoy your lessons and share the fun with your friends.
